During his time at the station, he worked as the content manager for “FOX 13 News at 10 with Darrell Greene” from 2011 to 2014. Moreover, he has covered national breaking news for FOX News Channel and CNN, including Hurricanes Irene and Iris.
Before his time at WHBQ FOX, Greene worked at WFTV in Orlando, Florida, as a news anchor. Further, he worked as a special assignment field reporter. There, he covered stories like storm coverage, NASA & SpaceX, and the Casey Anthony story & lawsuit.
Greene worked in New Orleans as a morning news anchor for WVUE before moving to Florida. He started as a sports anchor in 1997 and was later promoted to sports director in 2002. In 2004, he shifted his focus to the news desk, serving as a weekend news anchor before moving to the morning newscasts for three years.
While in New Orleans, Greene earned the title of “Katrina Survivor” since he was present when the storm hit. In this capacity, he covered the city and remained there during the city’s recovery until 2007. Moreover, he was a part of the award-winning team coverage of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the recovery of New Orleans.
