Jordan for WISN 12 as a morning news anchor and reporter. He joined WISN 12 in November 2021. Gerron formerly had a general assignment reporting position at KTVI/KPLR, the Fox and CW station in St. Louis, Missouri, before joining BRPROUD.

After two stays in Louisiana, Gerron joins WISN 12; his most recent stay was four years as the morning anchor at WVLA/WGMB in Baton Rouge. With a focus on topics like mass imprisonment and environmental racism and its disproportionate effects on communities of color, Gerron created the station’s “Candid Conversations” series. His coverage of “cancer alley” earned him a regional EMMY nomination in 2021.

Gerron covered the 2016 presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton when he was in St. Louis. He reported Monica Sykes’ disappearance in Berkeley in great detail and was first when her remains were discovered.

In order to cover the Cubs’ historic World Series victory in 2016, Gerron went home to Chicago. In 2017, when a St. Louis resident was sent to the hospital after a drunk driver crashed through Mardi Gras crowds, Gerron provided exclusive reporting live from the scene in New Orleans.
