Before KCNC, she worked for KOAT in Albuquerque, New Mexico as a reporter and a substitute anchor for nearly 3 years. Previously, she worked for NBC News as a multimedia journalist where she shot, edited, and produced national videos for NBC Latino and NBC News. During her time she interviewed public figures such as Rosie Perez, Laurie Hernandez, Jesse Jackson, Suzette Quintanilla, and Simone Biles.

Armas did a short documentary about Chicago’s ‘Mexico of the Midwest’ Fights Fallout From Fear of Trump. Initially, she joined the station as a freelance video producer where she edited, cut, and produced videos for the remainder of the 2016 elections. Later, she received a promotion and worked as an associate producer for NBC Latino.

Armas worked for KTSM El Paso Proud as a report and multimedia journalist where she broadcasted El Paso, Las Cruces, and Ciudad Juarez. Further, she shot, edited, and produced content for four daily newscasts. Additionally, she had a one-on-one with Senator Bernie Sanders and questioned the El Paso Police Chief on the Black Lives Matter movement. Additionally, she provided coverage for the U.S./Mexico border and the Pope in El Paso and Juarez. Also, she exposed city officials who misused city funds to pave private property.
