Lauren played baseball for West Mifflin Area High School, where she is a four-time varsity letter winner in basketball and softball. Additionally, she was a two-time captain in both sports. She is majoring in Community and Public Health at Ohio University, where she plays softball. Mark, her father, was a football player at Tulane, Northern Arizona, and for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
