Carter serves as a morning news anchor on weekdays on The Morning News from 4:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. for WHNS FOX Carolina, She had always known she wanted to work in journalism, but it wasn’t until she interned at WSB-TV in Atlanta that she fully discovered her passion for the craft. She accepted a weekend reporting position with WJBF in Augusta, Georgia, just out of college.
She reported on a range of stories centered on the Aiken, South Carolina, region during her two years there. Margaret-Ann ultimately worked my way up to reporting Monday through Friday after she started filling in on the anchor desk. She was prepared to assume a more significant leadership position as an anchor following her two years in Augusta.
Although she had never even been to Jackson, Mississippi, she realized it was time to go outside of her comfort zone when WJTV offered her the role of weekend morning anchor. She moved to the hospitality state without knowing a single person, and the locals lived up to their reputation.
Carter established a home away from home and discovered her own small Mississippi family between 2016 and 2019. She was given the opportunity to become the Monday through Friday 4 PM anchor after less than two years of weekend anchoring. Margaret-Ann adored the Magnolia state and the lasting relationships she met there, but she also realized it was time to return home. She is ecstatic to be employed in her home state.
