Before her time in Kentucky, Walker spent two years in Bowling Green as the 6 and 10 p.m. news anchor for WBKO. During her time there, the Associated Press honored her with the state’s Best Anchor Award in 2015 and 2016. In June 2025, she joined the Kentucky State Police Foundation’s Board of Directors.
