She also spent time reporting on consumer investigations for the station’s ‘Problem Solvers.’ This was one of her favorite parts of the job since her stories created tangible change in agencies like the local government, health systems, and the VA.
McCall has won several awards during her career, including an Emmy award, among other nominations and recognition by the Associated Press. She kickstarted her career in Fargo, North Dakota, where she reported for WDAY. She still recalls delivering a live report in -28° weather and wondering if she was cut out for the job. Fortunately, her weather didn’t dissuade her too much after she got a good pair of snow boots. She is thrilled to swap out the ‘Great Lakes’ for the mountains.
