During her time at the station, she has covered significant regional topics such as the devastating death of Chicago police Commander, Paul Bauer, the death of a firefighter who passed away while on duty, and the arrest of a wanted Northwestern professor behind the murder of a Chicago resident.
Before joining WLS ABC 7, Cauguiran worked as a general assignment reporter and a fill-in anchor at KPIX-TV, the CBS station in San Francisco. There, she earned various Emmy Awards for her report on the lethal warehouse fire in Oakland and for her broadcast during Super Bowl 50. Before San Francisco, she worked as a morning anchor, reporter, and producer at KPIX in Medford, Oregon.
Throughout her career, Cauguiran was honored with the Golden Legacy Award for her Outstanding Achievements in Journalism and various Emmy Awards. Aside from her broadcasting work, she volunteers with the Philippine American Cultural Foundation and the Filipino American National Historical Society.
