Maxie works for WBRC FOX6 as a reporter and multi-media journalist. Maxie began working for WBRC FOX6 News in April 2020, but her path to this point has been anything but straight. Before coming to the station, Maxie worked as a reporter for WTVY TV.
She was hired by WHOI -TV in Peoria, Illinois, for her first news position. She oversaw the station’s webcast while also producing, reporting, and filling in as an anchor.
A few years later, Chasity started working as the producer for the 10 p.m. show at Kalamazoo, Michigan’s WWMT-TV.
After living in the Great Lakes State for a while, Chasity made the decision to change occupations and pursue her passion for education in the classroom.
She returned to school and completed a master’s degree in education at National Louis University. She then spent the following five years working as a third-grade teacher in the Chicago Public School system.
Chasity’s heart was always in the newsroom, even though she was physically in the classroom. She seized the chance when it presented itself at WTVY-TV in Dothan, Alabama.
Chasity worked as the 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. anchor at WRGX, a sister station of WTVY, for the following 18 months. She also filled in as the anchor for WTVY’s weekend newscasts, News 4 at 10, Live at Lunch, and the morning show.
Chasity, who is constantly seeking new experiences and opportunities to hone her reporting abilities, accepted the invitation to work as a reporter and multimedia journalist for WBRC.
Chasity once again packed up her life and relocated to the center of Alabama from the southernmost point of the Yellow Hammer state. Chasity is thrilled to be in “Magic City,” and she can’t wait to be On Your Side, sharing your tales.
