Before her time in Wyoming, Rose worked behind the camera at KCBS/KCAL in Los Angeles, California. She is an awarded journalist who has received multiple Emmys and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award. She is on multiple boards and volunteers her time to numerous organizations in the community
Rose serves as the founder and president of the Wishes and Heroes Benefit Concert yearly fundraiser. She launched the fundraiser in honor and memory of her father in 2011. Since its launch, it has collected over $250,000, which has been given to many sick children through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and helped dozens of firefighters through the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation.
