Before moving to Illinois, Thomas worked in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at KAIT-TV8 for 2 years. This marked the start of her journalism career. There, she did various tasks such as a photographer, reporter, editor, and general assignment reporter. Over the years, she has received two Emmy nominations.
Thomas’s passion for journalism is driven by the fact that every story is like no other. TV news is a perpetual, ever-changing machine that keeps turning. She has witnessed the cream of the crop among people and seen the lowest of the lows.
