She devotes numerous hours to helping out at charities, civic organizations, schools, and community functions. Deiah belongs to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s Gamma Theta Omega Chapter.
Riley belongs to the Jack and Jill of America Greater Tampa Chapter. She joined Women for Gulfside Hospice and Palliative Care as a founding member. Riley serves among Tampa Bay area’s most in-demand speakers, hosts, and emcees.
Being chosen to lead the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Tampa as Grand Marshal was one of the honours of her career. Riley was recognized by Tampa Magazine as a “Leading Person of Tampa Bay.”Additionally, she has received the Legacy Award from the Tampa Bay Association of Black Journalists.
Riley was recognized by the United Negro College Fund for her dedication as a leader and key figure in Tampa’s African American community. She takes delight in being a mentor to students. She holds that every one of us has a duty to use our voice, connections, and influence to create opportunities for everyone who comes after us.
