Further, she works as a health reporter and anchors several other newscasts including morning and midday. Coming from a bilingual household has helped her career in the big Hispanic communities of Phoenix and Los Angeles.
Levya served as an inductee of the Walter Cronkite School of Broadcast Journalism’s Hall of Fame in 2006. Moreover, she received an Impact Award for Excellence in Television from the National Hispanic Media Coalition. During her career, she has had unforgettable memories including co-hosting the Oscars red carpet arrivals with Roger Ebert, flying with the Blue Angels, and standing in the OR with Dr. Oz as he performed a double-bypass.
Besides journalism, Levya is passionate about endorsing numerous nonprofit organizations. Some of the causes dear to her heart include serving as ABC7 team leader for AIDS Walk Los Angeles and promoting mental health services for underprivileged communities.
