After being urged to try his hand at being in front of the camera by his TV studio teacher, he received his first taste of news as the anchor for the Beyond the Rock TV broadcast in high school.
Elliot began his career in broadcast journalism at the Rockford, Illinois, NBC affiliate after earning his degree from Michigan State University. Since then, he has increased his experience in the media by working as a photographer, producer, reporter, three-time Emmy Award-winning anchor, and for a brief period of time as a public relations expert in Chicago.
In 2019, Elliott made a comeback to the news as the FOX and ABC stations’ morning news anchor in Rockford, Illinois. Elliot is glad to be going back to his hometown of West Michigan to report after covering a terrible tornado outbreak, a significant chemical plant fire, local manhunts, and more.
