Before his tenure in Las Vegas, Schreiber spent 4 years as a news anchor and reporter at KATU in Portland, Oregon. There, he led the Live Desk breaking news coverage on KATU’s Emmy Award-winning morning show team. He also created and produced KATU’s Recover Northwest franchise, which concentrated on substance use disorders and recovery solutions in the Pacific Northwest.
Schreiber’s reporting received honors from several recovery groups and organizations for his focused storytelling that exposed addiction issues in the midst of Oregon’s rollout of Measure 110, the voter-approved law that legalized possession of small amounts of hard drugs while opening more money for addiction treatment.
The Los Angeles native launched his TV news broadcasting career at KIEM in Eureka, California, where he was an anchor and reporter. Following his time in Eureka, he moved to Chico-Redding, California, where he was a news anchor and reporter.
