Pruitt works for WBRC FOX6 as a sports anchor and reporter. He spent eight months working in the “Lone Star State” before returning to Birmingham and WBRC FOX6 News in April 1996.
As a college student interning at WBRC FOX6 News, Pruitt started his career in television. As a general assignment reporter for KWES-TV in Midland, Texas, Jeh Jeh relocated to the West after receiving his degree.
His initial task was as a news photographer, but after six months, Jeh Jeh began to report. After honing his craft at WBRC’s Anniston Bureau, Jeh Jeh was transferred back to the Magic City in January 1997 to work on Good Day Alabama.
Every weekday morning, Jeh Jeh can be seen reporting on everything from the newest exercise fad to breaking news. Jeh Jeh has always been involved in sports.
He was a running back for Jacksonville State University’s football team. Pruitt played for the Division II National Champion squad in 1992. He now fills his sports void by working with the FOX6 Sideline WBRC FOX6 Sports Team.
Community Work
He contributes to the community by mentoring young people, working with kids, and giving talks in classrooms. Additionally, he hosts events for businesses and nonprofits. The Dannon Project was started by Jeh Jeh and his wife Kerri, and it received non-profit status in October 2003.
It was created to support people going through transitions, particularly those recovering from addictions, unemployed or underemployed people, at-risk kids and adults, both male and female, and in particular non-violent criminals returning to society.
Along with his involvement with the Alabama Organ Center, he motivates others to support fund- and awareness-raising efforts for organ donation.
