Meckles came to Denver, Colorado, after working as an anchor and reporter at KSDK in St. Louis for nearly 4 years. During her time in St. Louis, she provided coverage for protests and unrest in Ferguson, the effects of the fatal heroin epidemic, and big floods that submerged interstates and entire communities underwater. Moreover, she anchored weekend broadcasts, helping build the Storytellers team, which celebrated the positive stories and heritage of St. Louis.
