Raineri works for KGW News as an award-winning meteorologist and reporter in Portland, Oregon. Before joining the station, Joe worked as a freelance meteorologist at KIRO 7. He joined the station in January 2019.
Award-winning reporter and meteorologist Raineri has spent his whole career working all across the Pacific Northwest. After working at KIRO-TV in Seattle, where he predicted convergence zone meteorological anomalies and a deluge of rain, he returned to Rose City.
Joe began his career in media while employed at Oregon State University’s campus television station, KBVR-TV, where he performed everything from anchoring, reporting, and creating nightly newscasts.
Prior to moving to Seattle, Joe spent over ten years working as a meteorologist and writer in Portland, where he reported on everything from snowstorms to flash floods to tornadoes. Joe enjoys sports a lot and has worked as a sports anchor in the past.
He has had the chance to cover events for the Portland Trail Blazers, a team he has supported since he was a young child, Timbers games, and numerous Beavers vs. Ducks Civil War contests. The 2008 USA Olympic Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene stand out among the sporting events he has covered.
He has worked at KFXO in Central Oregon and KVAL in Eugene over the course of his fifteen-year career.
