In addition to that role, she fills in for the main primetime anchor when necessary, on Good Day Austin, and the noon show. She actively covers major news stories across politics, crime, sports, and breaking news.
Shortly after she began working in Austin, Pratt was on the ground reporting live on the night of the 2024 Presidential Election. She has also covered significant breaking events, such as President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s meeting in Anchorage, Alaska, and the U.S. bombing Iran’s nuclear sites. One of her career highlights includes traveling to Columbus, Ohio, for live coverage of the 2025 college football season opener, where the Longhorns faced the Buckeyes at The Shoe.
Pratt launched her broadcast career in her hometown of Tyler, Texas, at KETK-NBC News and Fox51 News. She started her tenure as a weekend news anchor and reporter. One year later, she was promoted to evening news anchor. She left The Piney Woods after three years and relocated to the state capital in 2024.
Pratt first found her passion for working on the screen in 2009 when she started doing TV and radio commercials for her father’s business. Those commercials were notably recognized in the East Texas region and memorable for the tagline, “Go by and see my daddy…” While in high school, her father took her to see her first LIVE newscast on set, where she realized journalism was it for her. She feels privileged to work in the great state of Texas, where she first found her love and passion for what has grown into a career.
