During her time at News 3, Silmon has anchored some of the biggest breaking news stories in the valley, including five hours of continuous coverage of Las Vegas’ darkest hour, the October mass shooting. She also covered Super Bowl 52 from Minneapolis, Minnesota, the entire Sinclair Broadcast Group, field-anchored NFL Draft broadcast, and the Vegas Golden Knights’ Stanley Cup victory, which she also played a crucial role in producing that special coverage.

Before moving to Las Vegas, Silmon worked for KDFW-TV FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth as an anchor and reporter for nearly 3 years. Some of her other career highlights include broadcasting multiple presidents, reporting from the Coretta Scott King Funeral in Atlanta, and moderating a forum on the “War on Terrorism,” which aired LIVE on C-Span.

Silmon served KTUL in Tulsa as the 5 p.m. anchor and reporter. In addition, she anchored and reported for KOTV in Tulsa and WYFF in Greenville, South Carolina.
