She excitedly returned to her home in Southern California with a passion for storytelling and people. She began her career in Bakersfield, California when the EW Scripps Cronkite Career program accepted her. During this time, she explored the Central Valley while working as a web producer and multimedia journalist.
After working in the Central Valley for three years, she moved to Las Vegas where she served KTNV as an anchor and reporter. In this capacity, she broadcasted the Route 91 Harvest Festival mass shooting, reported about several local and national elections in the battlefield state, and reported on the city’s initial professional sports team, The Golden Knights. Marins works as a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
