Even though she was still in college, Lisa worked at WVTM 13 as a weekend reporter and associate producer. She did, however, leave the South for the vast Northwest not long after graduating.
In Washington, Missouri, and Atlanta, Lisa anchored the news for more than ten years. Cruz, according to Lisa, is the one who made her long for her house.
As an Emmy-winning journalist with years of experience, Lisa has traveled the globe to cover some incredible stories.
She is most proud of the reports that came out of her time spent in Iraq just north of Baghdad. I developed a new respect for the military after meeting some of her country’s heroes and witnessing how dedicated they were to their work although still deeply missing their families and friends.
For the sake of a good tale, Lisa has also skydived, bungee jumped, flown with the Blue Angels and Hurricane Hunters through a hurricane, and done bungee jumping.
However, she has now traded her motorcycle in for a stroller and is content to be working at her dream profession in her hometown. Lisa likes to do home improvements, woodworking, and horseback riding in her spare time. Along with her husband and children, she resides in Gardendale.
