When she joined the station, she worked as an anchor and reporter before moving to the evening news desk. The Maryland native came to Orlando after spending 3 years as a weekday evening anchor for THV11, the CBS affiliate in Little Rock, Arkansas.
During her tenure in Arkansas, Goldsmith led THV11’s VERIFY franchise. In this role, she worked to separate fact from fiction during significant political stories and health stories in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Before moving to Little Rock, she anchored and reported at WPXI, the NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There, she earned regional recognition for covering community issues, the local water crisis, domestic violence, and the justice system.
Goldsmith finished her first stint at THV11 before moving to Pittsburgh. During this time, she exposed outdated county ordinances and prompted policy changes. Also, she provided coverage for numerous weather events, including the 2014 EF-4 tornado that tracked 44 miles through the heart of Arkansas. She was one of the first journalists on the scene, with her reports leading team coverage from the most devastated regions.
Goldsmith launched her career at KRBC in Abilene, Texas, where she was a reporter. Her reporting in the last decade has taken her across the country, broadcasting news headlines like the murder of Michael Brown, the Ferguson shooting, and historic flooding in Columbia, South Carolina. She serves as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Central Florida Association of Black Journalists.
