Iranpour serves as a weekday morning show co-anchor for KFMB CBS 8. In this capacity, she anchors the morning shows with Eric Kahnert from 4:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., CBS 8 Live at 11 a.m., and CBS 8 Live at Noon. She is a multifaceted journalist who has reported, anchored, and done weather assignments.
Before joining the station, Iranpour worked as a morning weathercaster at KPIX 5 in San Francisco, California. Before her tenure in San Francisco, she worked as an evening anchor for CW6 San Diego. In addition, she worked as an anchor and reporter at CBS 13 in Sacramento, California, and KTVN in Reno, Nevada.
Throughout Iranpour’s career, she has received Emmy Awards for her work. Moreover, she has covered various major stories such as riots, immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border, the homeless crisis, and environmental challenges. Some of her favourite assignments include skydiving with the U.S. Army Parachute Team and interviewing key figures such as Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, and George Lucas.
The catastrophic events of 9/11 shaped her broadcast future. At the time, she was in college and offered to help the nearest TV station after the coverage impacted her, despite being a business major. She immediately landed her first newsroom job while still in college.
Aside from her broadcasting work, Iranpour has a passion for serving others. For instance, she went to Kenya to donate shoes to orphans through a non-profit called Think Kindness. In addition, she has volunteered and collected thousands of dollars for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, American Cancer Society, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, multiple sclerosis research, Boys and Girls Club, Special Olympics, and aiding efforts to discover a treatment for Friedreich’s Ataxia, a rare neuromuscular disorder.
