Many facets of life in Mobile and the Gulf Coast have been covered by Peter, including the Alabama State Legislature, Mobile City Hall, SEC and local sports, Hurricanes Erin, Opal, Danny, Georges, Ivan, and Katrina.At the Mobile NBC affiliate,
Albrecht served as managing editor and primary news anchor from 2000 to 2007. The U.S. Department of Defense, the Alabama Medical Association, Mobile Bay Monthly, Lagniappe, the Associated Press, the Mobile Press Club, and the Press Club of Pensacola have all given Peter numerous accolades over the years. In La Crosse, Wisconsin, Albrecht started his career as a television journalist at WKBT-TV. Additionally, he was employed by WFTC-TV in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Albrecht is very involved in the community; he has served on the boards of the following organizations: the Mobile Sports Authority, the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame, the Mobile Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau Marketing Committee, the Junior League of Mobile, the Matthews Park Athletic Association, the Mobile National Babe Ruth (Trimmier Park) League, the St. Paul’s Episcopal School Parent Council, and the Ashland Place Pre-School Parent Council. Aside from these organizations, Peter is also involved in the community. In addition, Peter has given his time to a number of nearby charities. Recently, he participated in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign by the American Cancer Society as one of the local leaders.
