While still in Pennsylvania, Frank worked as a meteorologist for WICU 12 News. Throughout her career as a journalist, she has covered several significant stories, such as Hurricane Sandy and Irene. However, her most memorable story was the blizzard of February 8-9, 2013. She recalls watching the radar at 3 in the morning at its peak, thinking how rare the event was.
