Baichwal won an Emmy for Best Anchor in the Chicago/Midwest region from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2008. Ever since, he has won multiple awards for his reports, recently receiving a regional Emmy nomination for his coverage of the mass shooting in Highland Park.
Before his tenure at ABC7, Baichwal worked at CTV News, Canada’s No. 1 news organization, as an anchor, reporter, and host.
