During her tenure in Baltimore, Creighton received an Emmy Award for her breaking news broadcast of the deadly ambush murder of a Baltimore City police officer. Before moving to Baltimore, she worked in Miami, Florida, as an anchor and reporter for WFOR CBS Miami. There, she broadcast the upsetting mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland that claimed the lives of 17 students and faculty.
Creighton worked in San Diego, California, as a weekend evening anchor for KGTV Channel 10 before she moved to Miami. She also worked in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at WDJT CBS 58 and Mobile, Alabama, at Local 15 WPMI. After finishing her undergraduate studies, she started her TV career in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she served KLKN as a reporter.
