Boring works as a weekend morning anchor and reporter for KCTV5. She became an investigative reporter in March 2025 and is thrilled to be working for a station she grew up watching. Before joining the station, she worked as an anchor and reporter for KNSW in Wichita, Kansas.
While in Kansas, Boring covered stories such as the Department of Justice’s investigation into the disciplinary policies at Wichita Public Schools and farming in the drought. She also co-hosted ‘Positive Connections,’ a series that highlights unique and uplifting stories in Kansas. She received her first award from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for her news feature ‘How a daily greeting led to a friendship in Goddard.’
Boring began her journalism journey at KAAL in Rochester, Minnesota, where she was a morning reporter, fill-in anchor, and fill-in producer. In this capacity, she covered various stories, including the Mayo Clinic’s distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, the death of George Floyd, as well as the storms and tornadoes that swept southern Minnesota and northern Iowa in December 2021.
Boring is thrilled to be sharing stories in her hometown and interacting with new people as a daily reporter. Her passion for journalism started way back in high school, while reporting for the Blazer News Center.
