She was the first tri-state television reporter to gain a one-on-one interview with Fotis Dulos, the estranged husband of missing Connecticut mother Jennifer Dulos, in July 2019. Major broadcast networks, national print newspapers, and foreign news agencies often mentioned the exclusive interview, which garnered worldwide notice.
While in college, she worked as a news assistant at KNBR. After graduating from college, Sarah worked for the Fresno-based KMJ-TV as an anchor and reporter. In addition to 16 Emmy Awards for exceptional journalism, Sarah has earned two Edward R. Murrow Awards, the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award, and two Edward R. Murrow Awards.
Additionally, she received two Robert Greene Awards for Investigative Journalism from the Long Island Fair Media Council. She has won several honors from the neighborhood, including one from the NYPD for aiding in settling a potentially volatile hostage situation in Harlem. Sarah received the “Outstanding Women” award from Hadassah of Lower New York State. An “Honorary Award” was also given to her by the FBI National Academy Associates.

Award-winning investigative journalist Sarah Wallace, who was fired by WABC the winter of 2015 after 30 years, is suing her former employers, claiming salary discrimination and that they tried to prevent her from “telling the truth” about a murder investigation.
Wallace voiced in her complaint that male coworkers with equivalent or less experience, responsibilities, and accomplishments received more pay than her. The suit sought a minimum of $200,000 and punitive damages and legal costs. WABC said that ehr claims was wthout merit and baseless.
