Before joining WLS ABC 7, Wade worked as an investigative reporter at WRTV in Indianapolis, Indiana, for 5 years. While in Indianapolis, the State leaders recognized her string of reports on Indiana’s high infant and maternal mortality rates, which led to legislative reform.
Before working in Indiana, Wade worked at NBC24 as a news reporter in Toledo, Ohio, her hometown. Throughout her career as a journalist, she has been awarded 12 Emmy Awards. Besides her broadcasting work, she volunteers as a “Big Sister” for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago.
