Pretty works as the chief drone pilot & meteorologist for KVVU FOX 5 Las Vegas. In this role, he appears on weeknights on FOX5 News. He has served the station for over 2 decades, helping launch the morning show. He spent 14 years waking up at 2 a.m. before he was promoted to his current role in the fall of 2013. Additionally, he serves as FOX 5’s first ever FAA-licensed drone pilot.
Pretty secured his initial news job at KHGI in Kearney, Nebraska, while simultaneously working as a reporter and photographer. From Nebraska, he relocated to Pocatello, Idaho, where he served KPVI as their first morning show reporter and fill-in anchor.
Following his time in Idaho, Pretty relocated to Illinois as a reporter and anchor for the top-rated morning show at WCIA. He then moved to Las Vegas to begin his tenure at FOX5 in 1999 and has never looked back since then.
