Before her time at KSN, Lane worked as a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at KTIV News 4 in Sioux City, Iowa. While in Sioux City, she followed her love for politics, broadcasting Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses. She followed presidential candidates around the state for a year and a half, ushering in the 2016 election.
Lane’s work in Iowa earned her an Associated Press Great Plains General Reporting Award for her in-depth perspective on police technology and its effects on emergency call responses. Her storm broadcast earned her an Emmy Award for “Daytime Newscast- Blizzard after the Caucus.” She also earned an Eric Sevareid Award for her report on Pilger, Nebraska- “One Year After the Storm.” Moreover, she has received a number of Iowa Broadcast News Association honors.
Before working for KTIV News 4, Lane worked as a social media coordinator and reporter at Join the Synergy, an online entertainment outlet in Los Angeles.
