Chiaverini was born to Edna Avery and Eddie Chiaverini in Corona, California. Eddie, his father, is a professional guitarist and singer who performed with The Lively Ones. The band’s most popular song, “Surf Rider,” is featured in the 1994 film “Pulp Fiction,” which earned the band a platinum album. Edna, his mother, passed away in 2019 because of cancer. Following his mother’s death, he released “This Is Country” with a link for donations to cancer research.

Chiaverini has four half-brothers: Michael, Donny, Vincent, and the late Zach. Also, he is the twin of Darrin Chiaverini, a former NFL receiver. Darrin is currently a football coach at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. Before that, Darrin played professional football in the NFL for the Browns, Cowboys, and Falcons. Chiaverini is 8 minutes older than Darrin.

Zach, his younger brother, committed suicide at the age of 20 in January 2009. On January 14, 2024, he wrote about Zach on his Facebook account, captioning, “Today marks 15 years since my little brother Zach took his own life at the age of 20….” In that post, he shared that Zach was not depressed, didn’t drink, smoke, or do drugs, raising awareness about mental health. He wrote and recorded a song called “Chicago” to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in honor of Zach. He continues his work for suicide awareness and cancer research, speaking at the yearly Out of the Darkness Walk and emceeing cancer fundraising events.

He was promoted to that role in November 2023. When he joined the station, he worked as a fill-in anchor and sports reporter. Later, he was promoted to sports anchor of ABC7’s weekend newscast.

Aside from sports, Chiaverini hosted “2-Minute Warning,” a segment that hosts celebrities and engages them in sports trivia. In addition, he hosted the “Bear-ly Accurate Predictions,” a series of quirky methods to predict if the Chicago Bears will topple each week’s rival.

Chiaverini hosted the renowned entertainment show Windy City Live from 2011 to 2021. He was chosen among multiple candidates due to his charm, seen when he hosted ABC7’s Bears pregame show, The Chicago Huddle, while he was a weekend sports anchor.
