Moten started his professional acting career in New York City where he graduated in 2011. That same year, he portrayed Claudio in a Two River Theater production of Much Ado About Nothing. In 2012, he starred in and earned a feature in a Broadway revival of A Streetcar Named Desire HBO’s Criminal Justice.
Moten then starred as Avery in The Flick, for which he earned a Drama Desk Award nomination. Next, he starred in Netflix’s Disjointed as Travis Feldman, portrayed FBI employee Ben in FOX’s Next, and starred in Father Stu, and Emancipation.
