There, he was the first to arrive at the fatal IRS plane crash in 2010 and broke impactful stories during and after the Fort Hood shootings in 2009. Furthermore, he filed stories from significant hurricane zones, including Katrina, Rita, Humberto, and Ike. His career started at KOMU, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri, where he worked as an education reporter and morning anchor.
