She worked as a news field reporter for many news stations after receiving her degree from Loyola Marymount University. She began her career with the CBS station in Amarillo, Texas, before transferring to News3 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Ama then relocated to the NBC station in Detroit before spending two years at the FOX station in Sacramento, California. Immediately following her time working for FOX in Sacramento, she was married in September 2012 in San Francisco.
She typically spends her free time playing outside or discovering new locations to visit. She could be found eating Ghirardelli ice cream and eating garlic fries while supporting the Giants. Ama also enjoys taking long naps and animals.
