Katayama jump-started her anchoring career at KNDO in Yakima, Washington. After her tenure in Yakima, she moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where she served KFSM-TV for a couple of years before returning to Oregon to join the KPTV team. She left KPTV for an anchoring and reporting role at KOIN in Portland, Oregon. She is excited to use her journalist talents again to serve the people who live in Oregon and Southwest Washington, a community she has called home for decades now.
