Hope declared that she was cancer-free in September 2022 through a Facebook post. After a sudden health episode, she underwent a series of scans, tests, and MRIs that discovered the thyroid mass. She had a follicular tumor, which had an increased risk of becoming cancer. As a result, she underwent neck surgery(partial thyroidectomy) in August 2022 to remove the growth in her thyroid.
Hope avoided radiation therapy and transitioned to standard post-surgical monitoring and routine hormone treatments. Also, she shared that she would return to TV with a surgical scar across the lower part of her neck. Her scar has now healed smoothly and is barely noticeable.
