When she joined the station, she worked as an anchor and reporter until her promotion in August 2025. She looks forward to being a part of the FOX 35 News team and back in sunny Florida!
Mackenzie has won two Emmy Awards and a regional Edward R. Murrow Award during her career. She has filed reports in McAllen, Texas, near the U.S.-Mexico border, where she broadcast the humanitarian disaster, cartel violence, drug and human smuggling, and border security.
Mackenzie was a reporter in Pensacola, Florida, where she provided coverage for the effects of Hurricane Michael in 2018. She has also worked as a reporter in Houston, Asheville, and now Central Florida. She received two Emmy Awards for her broadcast of Tropical Storm Fred in 2021 while in Asheville.
