Uhler works for WFTS as an anchor. He co-anchors the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. weeknight newscasts. He worked as an anchor and reporter for WCAU-TV, an NBC-owned station in Philadelphia, for four years until joining the ABC Action News team in May 2010. In the course of his journalism career, Uhler has lived in Philadelphia, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Tulsa, and Orlando.
He is well known for producing high-caliber work. The Society of Professional Journalists honored Jamison as Florida’s “News Anchor of the Year” in 2013. Additionally, he has received recognition from the Associated Press for “Best Newscast,” as well as six EMMY Awards and awards for his investigative and feature reporting.
His 5 o’clock show won an Edward R. Murrow award for “Best Newscast” in 2012 and 2014, one of the top accolades in the business. In 2013, Jamison was nominated for an EMMY for “Best News Anchor” in the Southeast. He has received praise from the Society of Professional Journalists for his criminal reporting on the Kingfish Boat Ramp Murders during his stint at ABC Action News.
Jamison participates actively in the station’s year-long “Taking Action Against Domestic Violence” campaign outside of his duties on the air. Additionally, he is on the board of directors of Redefining Refuge, a worldwide non-profit organization that aids those who have been victims of human trafficking. Uhler received another Emmy nomination for his ongoing coverage of Florida’s juvenile human trafficking issues. Jamison enjoys surfing, hiking, bicycling, and golfing when he is not covering the news.
