Rossen joined Hearst Television in 2019 to create “Rossen Reports” for the network’s television stations, including NBC, ABC, and CBS in a number of significant cities.
At WUTR-TV, the ABC affiliate in Utica, New York, Rossen was a reporter. Before beginning his employment at WABC-TV in May 2001, he also held positions at Fox affiliate WJBK-TV in Detroit and ABC affiliate WIXT-TV in Syracuse, New York. At WJBK, he covered the passing of Kayla Rolland, a first-grader at Flint, Michigan’s Buell Elementary School. Bowling for Columbine, a 2002 documentary by Michael Moore, includes a segment on Rossen’s live coverage.
Rossen received an Instrument Rating on August 18, 2008, which he adds to his FAA Private Pilot certificate. 2008 saw Rossen join NBC. Rossen was appointed National Investigative Correspondent in 2012, and he oversaw the “Rossen Reports” investigative unit, which was featured on all platforms, including Today, NBC Nightly News, and Dateline NBC.
