Her report on History Legends earned her the title of “Best Reporter” from the St. Louis Chapter of the Association of Black Journalists. She received two Emmy nominations for her work covering the Tuskegee Airmen for KPLR TV and hosting “This Week In St. Louis” for KDNL ABC 30.
She has received numerous distinctions and medals, such as the St. Louis Urban League Excellence in Media Award for her work in the media on behalf of the community. In 2022, she was given the professional accomplishment award by the Metro Area Professional Organization (MAPO).
Other achievements include winning the NAACP Youth Council St. Louis County Benjamin Hooks Award, the Power 100 Delux Magazine Award, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Women in Media Award, and the Berkeley High School Distinguished Alumni Award.
Kelley received the privilege of appearing on the cover of Coverings Fashion Magazine in 2023. A dream came true, truly.
Kelley received a mural as a gift from the Better Family Life “Walls Mural Project.” A portion of Page Boulevard is adorned with vibrant murals of notable African-American figures.
A talented orator and in-demand motivational speaker, Kelley has won first place in oratorical contests organized by American Legion Posts, Elks of the World, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and many more at the local, state, regional, and national levels. Hoskins also gives motivational speeches to businesses and civic groups.
