Aaron works for KGO TV as a morning anchor and reporter. She started as an intern at ABC News, which led to behind-the-scenes work at WABC and NBC Nightly News.
Before working for KGO-TV, she was the national reporter for E.W. Scripps in the Denver region at FAMU, Florida A&M University. She was allowed to work behind the scenes at WABC after her post-graduate fellowship at ABC News.
She held her first on-air role at KSFM Channel 5 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, as a news reporter and anchor. Aaron also served as an anchor in Jacksonville, Florida. At WJXT-TV channel 4 from June 2012 until June 2016, Kumasi worked as an anchor.
Kumasi had the chance to cover live events including the Michael Brown funeral in Ferguson, the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, and the Charleston church tragedy.
She has covered a variety of regional and national topics throughout her tenure in Jacksonville, including the shooting on the FSU campus, the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, and the events that followed Michael Brown’s death in Ferguson, Missouri.
