Harksen works for WBRC FOX6 as a multimedia journalist. She became part of the WBRC FOX6 News team in March 2022. Prior to joining the station, Harksen worked as an anchor for News 19.
Prior to her current position, Lauren spent more than three years at WHNT News 19, Huntsville. During her time there, she held a variety of roles, including weekend morning anchor/reporter, multimedia producer, and television producer, and in 2021 she was nominated for two Emmy Awards for ‘10 Years after the Storm’ and ‘CoVID & the Classroom: coping with the struggle.’
During her time at Troy TrojanVision News, Lauren worked as an anchor, reporter, photographer, and producer for the Trojans. In 2017, she was honored with the SPJ Mark Of Excellence Award.
Moving to the Magic City has been a great experience for Lauren, and now that she’s in Central Alabama, she’s excited to learn more about the culture and diversity of the area. She’s also eager to explore all the unique places around town.
