She is familiar with the volatile weather of the Midwest, having grown up in Minneapolis. Even thoigh her favorite season is fall, she enjoys forecasting winter weather. She looks forward to the lake-effect snow and all the ways the Great Lakes impact the weather in Southeast Wisconsin.
Larsen came to Milwaukee after working as a morning meteorologist at NBC 26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Before Green Bay, she launched her forecasting career at KVRR in Fargo, North Dakota. She developed passion for the weather in her middle school science class, where she learned about clouds. Since then, she was curious how the weather works. Despite being scared of tornadoes during her childgood, she noe devotes herself to helping viewers stay safe from severe weather.
