Before that, he worked at Fort Myers, Florida, for almost 15 years. In Fort Myers, he provided coverage for stories such as hurricanes, brush fires, elections, a Super Bowl, and two shuttle launches. However, his most formidable assignment was accompanying his friend and colleague who was struggling with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s disease. He won two Florida AP awards for that series.
Jennings started his career at WCAX-TV in Burlington as a sports anchor and reporter in the year 1992. In 1997, he was appointed as the station’s sports director. He switched to news at WZVN-TV & WBBH-TV in 2001. Besides his journalism work, he is acknowledged for being active with multiple charity organizations.
