Sutter works as the host of “Only in Chicago,” a weekly series on WMAQ NBC 5 Chicago. She has served TV stations in Phoenix, Kansas City, and Peoria before coming back home to Chicago. Also, she was an in-arena host for the Chicago Blackhawks games at the United Center. She has worked across the nation, experiencing all sorts of topics. In this capacity, she provided coverage for two World Series runs with the Kansas City Royals and was embedded with the Air National Guard when they traveled to Guam. Also, she’s been at the forefront of numerous national stories, including the Los Angeles wildfires.
During her career, Sutter has received several awards and honors for her journalistic endeavors. For instance, she received Emmys for covering the 2020 Chicago riots and an extensive investigation into a local VA hospital accused of abuse. She spearheaded the breaking news broadcast from the field following an F-4 tornado that tore through central Illinois, which earned an Edward R. Murrow award.
