The Minnesota native launched her career in Mankato, where she was a one-man band for KEYC. In this role, she did a little of everything, including anchoring and weather. Her dislike for cold weather led her to the desert of Las Vegas, Nevada, where she reported for he CBS affiliate, KLAS-TV.
Sorrell spent 5 years in Las Vegas before moving to sunny South Florida. There, she spent seven years anchoring the weekend morning newscast for WSVN in Miami. She then moved to Central Florida to FOX 35 as an anchor and reporter for the morning show.
