Garner enjoys visiting local schools for FOX 35’s Storm School series, teaching about weather in a simplified manner, and meeting people in the community. Also, he began the FOX 35 Weather Spotters Network, where people at home can share their weather observations with the FOX 35 Storm Team.
Garner went viral for being live on the air, tracking severe weather in Central Florida as a tornado passed over the station. He has also helped spearhead hurricane broadcasts for Hurricane Nicole, Helene, Ian, Idalia, and Milton.
